over 30 years, Custom Log Homes has produced the finest
hand-crafted log homes in America and is renowned for
intricate and well-executed truss work and roof systems.
Founded in 1976, we became one of the trailblazers in
pre-assembled log homes, which we then disassemble and ship
to other parts of the country.
Nestled at the foot of Montana's majestic Bitterroot
Mountains, our company's construction yard is a bevy of
building activity. With our access to full-length, naturally
seasoned timber, our logsmiths strive to enhance the rustic
art of log building -- hand-peeling and prefitting each log
as your home takes shape.
This ensures accurate trouble-free reassembly once
transported to your homesite.
Custom Log Homes boasts two indoor truss facilities
providing almost 20,000 square feet of heated workspace
where log assemblies are constructed to ensure higher
quality.
We do provide design assistance; either complete
architectural services or consultation with your local
architect (supplying connection details and log shop
drawings). Our design team is extremely talented, CAD
proficient and willing to work with you to design the home
plan you desire. Photos of our homes are regularly published
as feature articles in log home magazines. Various
publications have chosen our homes as their front cover on
twelve occasions. Our homes have been featured in
