Founded in 1976, Custom Log Homes became one of the trailblazers in pre-assembled, handcrafted log homes. We specialize in full round and Swedish cope style “log on log” construction, completely handcrafted from dry naturally seasoned lodgepole pine and spruce (available only in our Rocky Mountain area). Unlike the machined versions of log homes, our handcrafted homes preserve the natural shape and character of each log.
These designs can include log walls, log joists and log roof systems (gables and purlins or rafters). We also specialize in more detailed construction incorporating log trusses, dormers, staircases, log bays, etc. into the final structure.
With careful planning and detailed construction drawings, our skilled craftsmen expertly fit all the logs here at our facility in Stevensville, Montana. This affords us the best utilization of logs and a variety of expertise in all aspects of the log joinery. It also ensures rapid and accurate reassembly at your home site.
